The model is designed primarily through bending rather than stretching the material. This makes it especially suitable for papercraft and EVA foam, while larger versions can also be adapted for rigid sheet materials such as plywood or metal.

🎨 MATERIALS & CREATIVE USE

The template works especially well with cardstock and EVA foam. The finished pumpkin is a great surface for painting — from a traditional orange Halloween pumpkin to completely custom colors, textures, and artistic finishes.

For larger projects, the geometry is also suitable for experimenting with plywood, sheet metal, and other rigid materials. Because the surfaces are designed to form through bending without requiring the material to stretch, the design can be adapted to many different fabrication techniques.
