3D Papercraft Pumpkin — Design 2

This design is easy and enjoyable to assemble and works especially well with cardstock and other paper-based materials. Experiment with different papers and textures to completely change the character of the finished pumpkin. For example, slightly crumpled or distressed cardstock creates an interesting organic texture like the effect shown in the photos.

The files include glue tabs for convenient traditional papercraft assembly. Vector versions can also be used with cutting machines, plotters, laser cutters, and adapted for other fabrication techniques.

✨ CLASSIC FLATTENED PUMPKIN DESIGN

Design 2 has a wider, slightly flattened silhouette inspired by classic natural pumpkins. Its curved segmented body creates a recognizable shape while keeping the construction simple and pleasant.

The model works beautifully with different types of cardstock. Smooth paper gives it a clean sculptural appearance, while textured, distressed, or gently crumpled cardstock can create a more natural, handmade effect.

🎨 MAKE IT YOUR OWN

Paint it in traditional orange, white, green, black, metallic colors, or create your own finish. The faceted surface is especially fun to paint because highlights and shadows naturally emphasize the pumpkin’s volume.

Add the included leaf, create additional vines or tendrils around the stem, or keep the pumpkin simple and minimal.

Make several pumpkins at different scales to create a complete Halloween or fall display. They work well as tabletop and floor decorations, window displays, party props, photo-zone decorations, or hanging decor.

The geometry is designed primarily through bending rather than stretching the material. This makes it great for cardstock and EVA foam and also makes larger-scale experimentation with more rigid sheet materials possible.
